The pearl is the jewel of the sea, and is found in the shells of oysters. The grain of sand, or other irritant, which is the causative seed in the development of the pearl gives us the message of transmutation. The pearl absorbs negative energy from the wearer and boomerangs the energy back, and although it may appear to be a painful process, the pearl actually aids the wearer when he or she needs to deal with self-confrontation. Naturally sea-grown pearls are more powerful than cultured pearls, and it is a good idea to try to obtain the pearls that have grown naturally if you can. the luster varies depending on the temperature of the sea water the pearl grew in. the variety known as the "baroque pearl" manifest when it has stayed too long in the shell and has lost its roundness. When pearls get dull, a good way to refresh their lustre is to dip them into their natural home-sea water. Never mix pearls with other stones, especially the diamond, as any conflicts of self would be greatly magnified, and the combination could create a great deal of disharmony. If you are drawn to the pearl, it may mean that a purification through self-confrontation is of important value to you. The pearl has curative powers because of the calcium, mineral, and protein content from its original source. |
